Description

TOPIC: Busyness - Is This You?

With Jane Powell, Executive Director of the Literacy Council of Washington County, Bonnie Saunders, President of The Career Nook, and Tina Fraley, Owner/Trainer of Power House Studio & Online Community

Calling all women - Join this powerful group to discuss a variety of topics in an open and trusting environment.

A note from Jane:

The idea for this session came to me when I was mortified that I’d miss a Women Empowered for which I registered because my calendar was just too full, coupled with a friend calling my calendar a war zone.

I took a pause. What was I doing?? Overscheduling myself to try and “make it all work.” For whom, exactly, was this working?? It surely wasn’t working for me!! Not only was I overscheduled, but when I did arrive at whatever was on my schedule, I was partly where I’d just left and partly in my “next thing.” So…how much of me was I really giving?Enter “busyness.” Add the fact that the more women I spoke with about this (smart, capable women, mind you!!), the more women I found with the same vexation.I decided we needed to talk about it. Here, at the Chamber. At Women Empowered.

Better? I’ve enlisted two experts: Bonnie Saunders and Tina Fraley. Bonnie, through The Career Nook, taught me about burn out: what it is and how to avoid it. It’s important information. That all women should have. Tina Fraley, owner of Powerhouse Studios, will talk about eat, move, believe and the importance of each to our overall well-being.Please join us for this important topic on Friday, July 14 at 7:30am at the Chamber!!

Don’t worry!! We’ll have crayons and coloring pages so you won’t need to speak for a while!!
